Here, to the left above the idyllic and secluded Eisbach spring, stands one of the more than 300 memorial stones erected by the Palatinate Forest Association (PWV), bearing a gold-yellow inscription.

The Eisbach originates from the confluence of the Märzbach and Hollerbach streams and is dammed in the Eiswoog pond. Because the Märzbach is the stronger of the two tributaries of the Eisbach, its source is also referred to as the Eisbach spring ("Eis spring").
