The semicircular kiln was used for a long time as a malt kiln by the peasants important in Beeskow. In 1983 the raw masonry was added to the basement and cleaned with hydrochloric acid. The floor received thermal insulation and was covered with clinker. The ceiling plaster was renewed and an electrical installation was carried out. The lower threshold of the new door made it necessary to fix the resulting slope with field stones. In December 1984 this room was opened as a youth club.
