Once again we went to beautiful Sachsenland ...In front of the forest in front of Welzow height of the former Welzow-Nord open-cast site, we were surprised at how far afforestation had already progressed in this area, when the large conveyor system was still shedding soil in the background. After an older bus tour group had confused our breakfast break at the Welzow outlook to the open-cast mine, we continued well strengthened into the lake district. At the gateway 3, which is now completed and the bike path is free again by then (unfortunately not yet signposted), we went on a discovery tour.
We followed the chic new Aspahltweg over the bridge of the gateway, which ended at the following hill.
Then we went from stuck, sanded, split paths southwest to the Sabrodter See, to the transfer 2. From there we drove directly along the canal on a well-graveled path to the transfer 1.
There we continued on the paved path towards Seidewinkel. This was well heated and an infinite number of locusts frolicked on it. These could be heard well in the spokes as they flew through the jump.
In Hoyerswerda OT Kühnicht we stopped in Schulzes Hofcafe for the first time and were very satisfied with the friendly service and the prepared dishes.
In a good mood we drove past the Scheibesee to the Bernsteinsee. After we got the tip in Burg where to find the entrance of the bike path at the Bernsteinsee (at the entrance to the liming plant in the direction of Burghammer) it went almost a round before we had to turn home in Burghammer in the direction of Spremberg / Cottbus.
On the way we stopped for the first time in Spremberg, directly at the weir of the Spree, in the Zille café to have a small hop drink there. Nice place to stay.
It's a shame that the Spree is still unsightly iron-bearing.
The end of our impressions was the approach of the hungry storks, at a grain field behind Groß Oßnig, where a combine was making its laps lonely.July 20, 2020

Pit stop in Vetschau to recharge the battery.
In Calau not thought of the blocked level crossing🤦🏼♂️
Great joy in white day. The tower had finally opened and after the climb I was rewarded with a wonderful view.
On the eastern bypass of Lake Gräbendorfer there is currently a small block due to repair work. But you can drive around or move 😉
Was pretty fresh around the nose today.July 7, 2020

Beautiful, rustic coastal bike path section between Stagnieß harbor and NepperminDelicious breakfast in Langhoff's bakery in Stolpe. Tip: Buchteln filled with cherries 😇
cafe stolpe usedom - Google SearchThis time bad luck between the east and west cliffs, ferryman was busy elsewhere (make sure to register for the trip beforehand)
City of Usedom mobileFrom Usedom to Karnin, the Karniner Straße from the Gellenthin junction is still closed.
Detour via Gellenthin or straight from Usedom via the bike path next to the B 110 to the Zecheriner bridge. The connection path between Pinnow and Klotzkow is once again navigable and the previous damaged areas have been removed. Not so nice: Coming from Wehrland between Seckeritz, where you should leave the K 30 according to the bike path sign to the right and have to drive on an unpleasant concrete slab path to Hohendorf before Wolgast.June 30, 2020

Today I visited the mountain-following landscapes of the Schlabendorf and Seese opencast mines.
When I arrived at the Heinz Sielmann Foundation in Wanninchen, I looked at the remaining route in Schlabendorfer via Drehna. Was too far for me, so I drove the same distance back.
Was lucky in Schlabendorf that there was a baker (Helmut Raden) who also offered a small snack. The pancakes were great.
Tourism returns in Lübbenau. Was pretty full today.
We recommend the ice cream and the café in Café Alex am Markt.
The bridges on the beautiful bike path between Lübbenau in Leipe are currently being renovated. But you can drive around the construction sites. I was there after work, so I don't know how things are going there at work. But think, with caution and respect, it is also possible at this time. A bridge (first to Lübbenau) is already finished.
The small highlight was a noisy stone marten family with three small boys, who carelessly crossed the path a few meters in front of my bike. Very amusing to be able to watch the little clumsy fellows at the first discoveries.June 23, 2020

Probably used my "sextant" incorrectly in sections today and thus caused strenuous off-road inserts. My companion was not at all enthusiastic about the narrow thirty-seven 😬 Somehow understandable.
Otherwise, I was on the hill between Überleiter 2, Spreetaler See and Hoyerswerda for the first time. Later I almost circled the Bernsteinsee after the entry was found with a lot of cramp.
On the return trip from Burg to Spreetal, we went on non-public and very strenuous forest trails until the former bike path between Spreetal and Burgneudorf was finally crossed😅
Was really warm on the track today. Good thing the thick layer of sunscreen had done its job.June 22, 2020

Fat round! It's great that you always have the urge to capture and show the impressions, and you always feel like cycling again and again.

After yesterday's long tour in the saddle, I just wanted to briefly burden the very least. The best thing today would have been a standing trip on the train😂

The tour should actually go from Bärwalder via Bautzen to Görlitz and then return to Cottbus with the ODEG.
But then it was so nice at the lake, so we quickly changed the plan.
We were able to satisfy the hunger for lunch at the snack bar of the Strandperle (Uhyst butcher) with a super tasty pea soup with bockwurst. The strawberry time was then used and an ice cream sundae was plastered in the Gruner ice cream parlor in Uhyst.
So well fortified we visited the Findlingspark Nochten with all its summer bloomers. Afterwards we could cool off in the lake again.
On the way back it was shown that the early bird has its meaning. The one hour late start was missing at the back.
A nice stretch, except for the monotonous kilometers next to the Chaussee between KW Boxberg, past Sprey and the junction to Neustadt a.d. Saale. It's a good thing that large parts of the bike path, which has been enormously damaged by tree roots, have already been repaired or renewed.
The crossing through a water-flooded depression to the Ruhlmühle was adventurous. Don't want to know what's going on when it rains really hard.June 16, 2020
