In 1326, Elector Rudolf I, King of Saxony, gave the town of Adriansdorf, north of the old town. The village was later demolished and the residents were resettled in front of the Fürstenwalder Tor. Today's Adrianstrasse was the new Dorfstrasse, on which the houses were rebuilt. With the residential building at Adrianstrasse 11, one of Beeskow's oldest secular buildings has come down to us outside of the old town. Restoration studies have shown that the building has components from 1668. The city of Beeskow began in 2008 with the renovation of the vacant building and the associated outbuildings with the aim of opening a Hüfnerhaus. Inside the building, the traditions and way of life of the Hüfner are clearly presented.
