The powder tower stands at the south-east end of the city wall. Its name indicates its earlier use. After 1945 there was an emergency slaughter stall here. In 1948 the tower was re-covered. In 1983 the first reconstruction work was carried out. After the stove and chimney had been removed, a tie rod system was installed and the roof was re-covered with yew tails. Ventilation bricks made of zinc and a Hellmeier were also installed. All masonry work was carried out in shell masonry. The plaster was added. According to the "approximate description ..." of 1855, the wall is 3201 feet or 266 rods 9 feet (960.3 m) long from the beginning near the free ark to here.
