Tips

  • The bronze sculpture "Die Wachenden" is located in the pedestrian zone (Holzstraße) of Stade. Dating to 1986, the sculpture was created by Carsten Eggers (b. 1957), a German sculptor and painter from Stade who is known for his realistic bronze sculptures. The Flethenkieker (1989, Buxtehude), the bust of Rudi Carrell (2007, Alkmaar) and the Max Schmeling Monument (2010, Hollenstedt) are all by Eggers.
