A particularly shy specimen of DOM market stalls has found refuge on the premises of the Snickers Concept Store: a lard cake baker!
Normally it only appears a few times a year in the northern climes. In Kaltenkirchen it can only be seen once in autumn 😩 Now it can be seen there regularly on weekends.
In order not to scare off the shy vehicle and to observe its natural behavior, we only approached on foot! 🦶
It was worth it for us: we were able to get hold of several cherry pockets and take them home with us 😋

Even the most beautiful vacation comes to an end 😩 After a week in the Harz Mountains and a week on the Moselle, tomorrow it’s back to the most beautiful state in the world😇
Time for a little farewell to our favorite winemakers🍷
There we quickly decimated the stock of Federweiss and onion cake ... 🥴🥴🥴

Today we were attracted by the Mont Royal fortress ruins above Traben-Trarbach. A short lap with decent climbs😇
We climbed up to 310 meters through the Kröver vineyards and enjoyed a fantastic view of the Moselle loop with Wolf and Kröv. The Mont Royal fortress itself has been ground down to a few foundation walls. So if you expect imposing fortress walls, you can stay at home 😇 If you enjoy inclines, a wonderful view and a drive through a historical forest ... a warm welcome 😊
The descent to Traben-Trarbach is a dream 🚲
On the way back along the Moselle, we were motivated by a nasty rain front from Wolf ☂️ At least the bikes are no longer so dusty 😃

Wittlich ... never heard of 😊 so we definitely have to go there ...
But no matter in which direction you leave the Moselle, first of all it hurts ... the vineyards have to be climbed ... 🥵
Then over beautiful forest paths to Wittlich 😊 The city itself ... a bit disappointing ... there isn't much to look at. But the Maare-Mosel-Radweg has long been leading here. You roll back to the Moselle in a relaxed manner along the Lieser.
Then a short break in the Machern monastery brewery 😇 and the day is saved.

Since the weather did not encourage cycling today, we started a small search for a Kröver naked ass. The wine yards here in Kinheim are unfortunately all locked and barricaded on such a rainy Tuesday ... so we didn't get anything
So on foot on the way to Kröv ... across the vineyards 😊
It was by pure chance that we passed Detlef Müller's farm. It was open and after intensive consultation and rehearsal, we found our naked ass 😇
So sometimes it is also useful not to have a plan. 🧐

When I discovered the village "Bengel" in the hinterland while planning the tours around Kinheim, I knew: There must be a "Bengel tour"-
The plan was very simple: Via Traben-Trarbach to Reil, then along the Altbach to Bengel and then back via Ürzig ... 43 honest kilometers with no frills 😊
But then we were recommended a detour to the Prinzenkopf tower in the vineyards via Reil ... Zack 5 km more, but it was totally worth it.
Finally, yesterday Alfred recommended to try out the dinner in the monastery brewery Machern ... Zack again 5 km more😩
But I have to say that the Machern monastery is really worth it: the knuckle was delicious and the beer was divine g
      Thanks for the tip, Alfred👍🏻

From the Harz to the Moselle ...
After the great summer tour this year over the Hunsrück and along the Moselle, we spontaneously decided to pay another visit to the Moselle.
Just as spontaneous as the visit to the Machern monastery brewery 😇 and the ascent to the Landshut castle ruins. 🥵
So, despite the river bike path, we reached an altitude of 300 meters. 😎

Actually we wanted to go to the Rappbodetalsperre today ... but it was so overcrowded that we just drove on at the parking lot. 😱
So we took a look at the little sister - the Wendefurth dam - with the pumping station. It's very impressive.
And down here is the exit of the megazipline ... people are flying in over your heads 😊

A great tour 😇 Braunlage is not that exciting for me personally, but the route through the Bodetal is really recommendable. And then the ice cream in the fir tree ... really delicious 😋 and I didn't have to nag long 😇
The "Alte Tanner Weg" originally planned by Tanne nach Elend has unfortunately been broken down by forest vehicles so that we had to look for alternatives.
The way back through the Elendstal brought another 100 meters of altitude difference, so that today we have reached 400 ... that's about 2.5 Bungsberge😊
I'm slowly developing mountain goat qualities Qual ..... According to Anja, especially when it comes to complaining and smelling😱
