In this square we can admire the palace of the noble Tolomei, a powerful family of the city of Siena, and in front of the palace you can enjoy the beauty of the church of San Cristoforo, which you can visit inside. Some streets start from the square, such as Via Del Moro, Via Cecco Angiolieri and Via Calzoleria, which lead to Piazza del Campo. Lost in Piazza Tolomei from Via Banchi di Sopra. In front of the Tolomei Palace we can see a column with a she-wolf nursing two children named Remus and Romulus. It is a place worth seeing when walking around Siena. Around the square you will find refreshment points and other various services. Highly recommended

The Chiesa San Cristoforo is one of the oldest buildings in Siena. The original Romanesque style from the 11th century is still visible inside the church, but the facade was rebuilt in the neoclassical style in the 18th century.
Entry to the church is free.
