The two-wing residential complex was built in 1926 and provided with an archway as a passage.

Even from a distance, impressive religious buildings characterize the silhouette of the former episcopal city on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains.
The center of the historic center is the spacious cathedral square with its impressive ensemble of the magnificent cathedral of St. Stephen and St. Sixtus and the Romanesque Church of Our Lady. The cathedral, built according to the French model, is considered one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in Germany. With over 600 valuables from several centuries, the cathedral treasury is one of the most exquisite church treasures in the world.
At the foot of the cathedral, the historic old town is waiting to be discovered. Winding alleys, cobblestones and leaded glass: Halberstadt enchants with the charm of its half-timbered architecture. The oldest houses date from the 16th century. Attentive observers can still see traces of Halberstadt's formerly large Jewish community below the former bishop's palace, one of the largest in all of Central Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Halberstadt surprises with its diverse cultural landscape, numerous museums and its varied calendar of events. In the Gleimhaus, one of the oldest literature museums in Germany, the Age of Enlightenment is brought back to life through the impressive collection of books, letters and portraits of its namesake, Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim. The Municipal Museum provides deep insights into the cathedral city's eventful history and for nature lovers, the Heineanum Ornithological Museum is certainly an experience. The Schraube Museum presents bourgeois living culture around 1900 and the Berend Lehmann Museum preserves the memory of the centuries-old tradition of the former Jewish community of Halberstadt.
Lovers of drama, ballet, opera and symphony concerts will get their money's worth at the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater. A musical specialty is probably the most unusual art project in organ history: since the turn of the millennium, the sounds of the John Cage organ art project "ORGAN²/ASLSP" have been resounding in the Buchardi Church, which is to be played for a total of 639 years.

In the shadow of the remains of Halberstadt's baroque synagogue, the Berend Lehmann Museum's café offers Jewish dishes from all over the world - including many vegetarian options.
There is a daily changing selection of home-baked cakes and coffee specialties.
