In front of the fisherman's house from 1720, the second oldest building in the Altranft, there is an old milk bench.
In Altranft these were used until the 1950s.

Hiking

The so-called fisherman's house, probably built in 1720, is the second oldest building in the village and was actually the location of the Altranfter fisherman. Altranft used to be directly on the Oder and before the region was drained, many fishermen still earned their living with traditional fishing. There were about 20 fishermen in Altranft. With the draining from the beginning of 1753 to 1786, Altranft was transformed from a fishing village into an estate village. The fisherman's house with the thatched roof stands for this time.
