Mathilte's Packnaus was built around 1900, probably as a packing house for the DFDS shipping company's parcel ship. Old photos show that the building originally had light-colored walls. After 1920 the house was renovated and painted red, possibly at the time when the connection was taken over by Laurids Hedaa.
In 1970 the warehouse was refurbished after having been vacant for a number of years and the fishing supplies purchasing center moved in. Since then, they have moved to this newer and larger facility, built in 1997.
