What a day / what a weekend:
After we went tobogganing last weekend - now the long-awaited spring break.
What could be nicer than exploring the spring awakening on the Neckar by bike.We started at the town hall of Neckartailfingen and drove on the Neckar cycle path to Tübingen.
This tour was ideal for getting on after the winter break - no significant climbs and the road surface made the bike roll by itself.
However, the racing cyclists also discovered this among themselves and we felt like at the Tour de France: the chasing group came at high speed from behind and in no time we were lined up ;-)Despite everything, as I said, a tour ideal for boarding or for families.
If the weather and the temperatures cooperate, there are two ice cream parlors on the way where you can fortify yourself: one in Neckartenzlingen (ice cream parlor Adria) and one in Kirchentellinsfurt directly on the bike path (Jakob’s pleasure workshop). Whereby Jakob’s pleasure workshop is more sympathetic to us and you can relax there on benches and in the field (without an advertising contract)Arrived in Tübingen a short break in the spring sun on the banks of the Neckar on Herrmann-Kurz-Strasse. It went back through the tranquil nature on the other bank of the Neckar to Kirchentellinsfurt and then again on the Neckar cycle path to Neckartailfingen.
A wonderful day - in the evening nice Greek specialties from the Poseidon restaurant in Ostfildern-Ruit as a reward ;-)February 22, 2021

Nice hike through the fresh deep snow in the forests around Stuttgart.
Here near the Trafdtionsgasthaus / excursion restaurant "Katzenbacherhof" was very little today.
While others used the onset of winter to meet en masse on the Alb and at the Stuttgart park lakes / Bärensee lakes and couldn't find any parking spaces, we were almost mothers-souls on our own and enjoyed the fresh snow from above and below.
There was a silence that you only know at night.
But the nature and the old trees spoke volumes - great.February 22, 2021

Today a very long walk around our small "big city" Ostfildern. On the way there are always magnificent views: First from the panorama path below the park settlement with a breathtaking view of the Neckar valley. Stuttgart and the Daimler factory await on the left, followed by the burial chapel on the Württemberg, the Katharinenlinde (observation tower) near Esslingen, the Esslingen Castle and on the right the first mountain ranges of the Schurrwald and the Swabian Alb.
It continues in the direction of Neulingen and Scharnhausen before allowing views of nature again on the edge of Schaffhauser Park: the view wanders over the Filder plain and the motorway in the near distance to the "Blue Wall" of the Swabian Alb.Crisp length of over 10 km, but with small breaks on the way (there are some benches to rest) doable. At the end of the day our "home hike" ...February 22, 2021

Nice and easy hike around the Bebenhausen monastery.
The hike leads through the Schönbuch Nature Park. On the way you can see a lot of unspoilt old trees.
To rest it is recommended to "head for" the numerous official resting places (Brühlweiher, Teufelsbrücke or closed fountain)January 3, 2021
