On the south side of Cologne Cathedral, i.e. towards Roncalli Square, there is a large-format monument with images of Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. in memory of World Youth Day 2005. The (fictitious) scene is shown in which John Paul hands over the logo image to his successor in the office of Peter. The motto of the World Youth Day held in the city and the surrounding area was: "We have come to worship HIM", a saying of the Three Wise Men from the Gospel of Matthew.
