The fitness area was used very heavily, especially during the pandemic. However, things have since returned to normal.

Hiking
In the 1920s, under Mayor Konrad Adenauer, the Inner and Outer Green Belts were created on the site of former fortifications. The Inner Green Belt begins at the Flora botanical garden in Riehl, runs through the districts of Mauenheim and Ehrenfeld, and from there across the university campus to Luxemburger Straße.
Large park areas offer opportunities for outdoor sports such as jogging, Nordic walking, or cycling. You can also simply relax outdoors with a picnic or a barbecue.
