In 1973, for the first time, a lookout tower was erected in the leisure park Weißer Stein. The tower, built entirely of wood at that time, had to be demolished in 2012 due to ailing outer columns.

At the end of 2014, the new lookout tower with a ridge height of 30 meters was built. The "Eifel view" with information on the viewing directions already installed on the old tower has also been installed on the top viewing platform, which can be reached via 147 steps.
