"Here at the Kleinfüllbach, which flows into the Holzwarche just under a kilometer upstream of the Enkelberger mill, the foundation stone for practical nature conservation in East Belgium was laid in 1978 with the purchase of a few small plots of land. In the meantime, the Holzwarche nature reserve has grown into Natagora's largest area in East Belgium, covering a good 80 hectares.

Together with the adjacent protected areas of the Walloon region and the municipality of Büllingen, the area now forms one of the most important building blocks in nature and species conservation in our area."
