The millyard - at least that's what the current owners call their house - was the home of the Roseburg miller, and some of his workers probably lived on the upper floor.
The basement once housed a bakery, as well as a large water basin for carp, which were fished from the mill pond just a few meters away.
Even in times of need, the people on the millyard always had something to eat.
