Siebeneichen is located in the south-east of the Duchy of Lauenburg district and covers an area of 468 hectares. The municipality belongs to the Büchen district and lies between two important transport routes:

The Elbe-Lübeck Canal, opened in 1900, runs to the east of the village, to the west is the Lüneburg-Lübeck railway line and state road 200, which connects Büchen with Breitenfelde.

Up until the 1960s, the L 200 ran directly through the village, but now it is outside and no longer touches the medieval village centre.

Angerdorf has always been characterized by its special traffic situation between the old freight road from Lüneburg to Lübeck ("Alte Salzstraße") and the former "Stecknitz-Delvenau Canal" in the Delvenau lowland.

The small town is still dominated by the old parish church on the spacious green surrounded by farms.

Around 1900, Siebeneichen had about 180 inhabitants, including 4 full-grain farmers, 2 half-grave farmers, 7 cottagers, various trades such as shoemakers, blacksmiths, roofers, butchers, bakers, a haulage company and a grocery store.

Today the population of Siebeneichen has increased to around 250 inhabitants, which is mainly due to the gradual complete development of Büchener Weg. The place borders on the communities of Roseburg, Klein Pampau, Büchen and Fitzen. The name Siebeneichen is of German origin and is mentioned earlier than most of the other place names in the district. As early as 1211 an Eberhardt von Seueneken is mentioned, whose name can probably be assigned to the place.

The Ratzeburg tithe register from 1230 then speaks of "Soveneken", and this secure first documented mention of the community is therefore still considered to be the "official" year of its birth.
