The mill is no longer there. The mill already existed in 1702. Until the Second World War, the Slagmolen van Ellikom was an oil mill where the linseed, rape and dodder (flax) seed was crushed or beaten. Smolt was also pressed and the collected oil was used for frying. The mill expanded in 1883, 1908, with a corn mill, and 1957 and was largely built in half-timbered style. The mill has been in the Bokrijk Open Air Museum since 1963. Now you will only find a concrete weir here that replaces the old weir.
