The Dommel Valley is without a doubt a pearl in the Kempen, ideal for a varied and relaxing walk. You will find alder forests, hay meadows, meadows, small fish ponds, reed fields and much more. The higher parts mainly consist of fields lined with wood edges and some pine forests. This wide variety of landscape types provides many different animal and plant species.

Natuurpunt constructed a beautiful walking path between Eksel (Hoksent) and Wijchmaal (Molhem) near the confluence of the Dommel and Bolisserbeek. Several boardwalks, new hiking trails and two new bridges allow you to fully enjoy nature. The "Dommeldal Route" also takes you past the beautiful burial mounds of Molhem.
