Although they aren't very big, they are still very impressive.

Right at the entrance, the view falls on seven huge sequoias, which tower up at the first fork in the path. A memorial to Loki Schmidt, who died in 2010, is protected under the sequoias. The Botanical Garden was named in 2012 after the experienced and passionate botanist, who received an honorary doctorate from the Department of Biology in 2000 for her commitment to nature conservation.
