Pendler zwischen Elbe und Ostsee , aber auch sehr gern in den Bergen unterwegs..
Actually I wanted to run the 7th stage of the Heidschnuckenweg today, but postponed it to the next month due to lack of time and a lack of bus connection.
So I decided on a Hamburg classic, the upper Alster hiking trail.
It went from the Ohlstedt subway along the Alster to Kayhude. There we stopped for a hearty lunch with home-style cooking in the Heidkrug. Then it went back to the subway on the other side of the Alster

Water fight at stage 6 - the tour should actually have been called 😅. And rubber boots wouldn't have been bad.
Of the 6 I've run so far, this stage is the one with the least amount of heather. There are also no special highlights.
But what I found very nice were the many beautiful forest paths. (if not with the weather).
Which rascal actually let the Heidschnuckenweg run directly across the Heidepark parking lot 🙈🤷♀️? ?To Dolle: I would have liked to have followed your tour over the Döhrensberg as an alternative.
Then I simply changed my mind because after a complete rainy hike including half-hour storms with thunder and heavy rain, I just wanted to be done.
And the forest path just behind the Heidepark that you walked differently was somehow overgrown and muddy - the broad main path was better there.
All in all a really nice tour, albeit with little heather.

The 5th The stage from the Heidschnuckenweg started well 😅 ..
First walked 1 kilometer in the wrong direction 🙈.
Well but then I was awake and the sun slowly came out - so let's go ...
I will probably not run this stage again. Think the variant with Schneverdingen as an intermediate draw is nicer, if about 9 kilometers further. I didn't find the first 4 kilometers so nice from the way, although one immediately had a great landscape in view. It was very heavy on asphalt.
The highlights were definitely the Behringer Heide, the Brunausee and my favorite the Borsteler Kuhlen.
It was worth it to run a long time here, but spoiled by the first 4 stages, I just found them too heavy on the road. I tend to like the smaller trails.
But it was still in dream weather, again a great day in the heath.

4th stage Heidschnuckenweg
Started in Niederhaverbeck in relatively foggy weather, but the sun came out relatively quickly. Once again lucky with the weather. Like the 3 previous stages, this one was just great. We have extended this tour with a detour to the Totengrund, in order to then go back to the original route after a circumnavigation. The detour of about 4 kilometers was really worth it. Super great tour

Today the 3rd stage of the Heidschnuckenweg was on.
However, we went in the opposite direction from Undeloh to Handeloh, because otherwise the way back with the Heidebusshuttle would not have been feasible.
We also deviated from the old original route by about 500 meters because we took the Heidschnuckenweg-Wehlen variant (see photo).
It was a very nice route again, albeit the busiest one so far.
I'm curious what will happen next..

Hiked my first stamp for the Heidschnuckenwegpass today 😁 ..
Since everyone here is sharing such great pictures, I finally had to tackle the entire first stage.
I am definitely excited. A super nice hiking trail!
I was also surprised that so many other people were out on a day when it should rain all day.
I'm already looking forward to the next stage. I have resolved to tackle all of them by the end of the year. 😁. Let's see if it works 😅 ..
