“This stone is said to have been a location for a guard post for the Prussian army from the time of the Revolutionary Wars (1792–1802). On the stone you can still find the inscription 'Preusen' [only with a single 's'] and a cross. Supposedly it was engraved by a Prussian guard. According to legend, there is a treasure hidden underneath, but it was never found.”

Hiking

The knight's stone, cared for by the Palatinate Forest Association (PWV), stands on the former site of a guard post of the Prussian army from the time of the Revolutionary Wars 1793-1797. A few meters up there is a boulder on which the letters PREUSSEN were carved with a cross.
