This is one of over 300 knight's stones of the Palatinate Forest Association. After the previous KOMOOT highlight was deleted, I am re-creating it (especially for all Ritterstein fans) - together with my comments from July 28th, 2022:
Beautiful, large knight's stone, directly to the right of a steep stone staircase that continues upwards on the "Palatinate Forest Path" from the Burgalbweiher. The “PWV” abbreviation typical of Rittersteine is located at the bottom right (sometimes overgrown).

The Ritterstein points to “the source of the Burgalb, which rises in the Burgalbweiher” and flows into the Schwarzbach a little later at the Pferdebrunnenweiher. [...] One half of the artistically designed, former fountain bowl from the Trippstadt castle garden serves as a socket for the overflow of the Burgalbweiher. The other half of the bowl is in Karlstal near the Gienanth manor house. It served there as a flower bowl.
Heidelsburg is said to be the name of the forest stream 'Burgalb' and the town of 'Burgalben', at least as far as the word part 'castle' is concerned. It was located in the valley on the southern flank of the Dreisammerberg (Eitelmann 2005) about 3.5 kilometers upstream (Dolch 1991, p. 85)."
