Schloss Neuenhof

The Neuenhof Church is the Evangelical Lutheran church in the Neuenhof district of the city of Eisenach in Thuringia. The church is located in the center of Neuenhof on the edge of the castle park designed by Eduard Petzold on a high bank of the Werra. Directly next to the church is Neuenhof Castle, built in 1863.

Neuenhof Castle is a listed building in the Neuenhof district of the city of Eisenach in Thuringia. Since the Middle Ages, there is said to have been a small castle on the site of the castle on the high bank of the Werra. In 1863, the castle was built in neo-Gothic style to replace the previous castle complex.
From 1945 the castle was in the Soviet zone and had various users. After reunification, the property was empty for a short time. It was then reacquired and renovated by a descendant of the previous owners, Eyring Freiherr von Rotenhan from Eyrichshof Castle.
