"VII. Lichtloch" is the encroachment for the surface facilities at the 7th shaft structure of the "Rothschönberger Stollns" in Halsbrücke, with shaft house and attached wheel room, the miner's forge with crew room and, at a reasonable distance, the powder house for storing explosives. The Rothschönberger Stolln is a water release tunnel of the Halsbrücker-Freiberger- and Brand-Erbisdorfer Bergrevier. It was driven up from 1844 to 1877 and equipped with 8 light holes (shafts). With its ancillary facilities, it covers a total length of 50.9 km.

Small correction: 50.9 km is the total length with side tunnels in the entire Freiberg mining area (to Zug, Brand-Erbisdorf, Langenau and Großschirma) and includes the pits there (e.g. Drei-Brüder-Schacht, Rote Grube, Reiche colliery). The fiscal (state-financed) part of the tunnel from the 8th light hole to the Röschenmundloch near Rothschönberg is 13.9 km long. Cycle tour in 2 loops from the IV. Lichtloch: Tor 'd Lichtloch north and south
