Overlooking Toormore Bay, the Altar Edge Tomb was built around 2500–2000BC. During an excavation in 1989 cremated human bones were found, as well as fish, shellfish and cetacean bones. A National Monument, it was still being used as a Mass Rock in the 18th century.
