Strong NW wind but great views and not much traffic. The Chemin Romain was steep and only a footpath to start. Might have been better to go west along the main road for a few 100 metres and on to the Route de la Turbie that way.

A bit noisy from the motorway and the hillside is becoming scarred with dirt bike tracks, but good exercise and good views.

Completed on eBike at level 1 until about 40km when the battery ran out ( I was a bit sceptical about the 90km promised!) so I walked up most of the 3rd and last hill from Almachar towards Moclinejo.

Blueway closed between Courtwood Bridge and Vicarstown from October 2025 until February 2026 for rebuilding quay at Vicarstown. Path on east side of canal is very muddy in places, had to carry the bike, take the road! Lovely cafe at Vicarstown Bridge, highly recommended. Dilly Dally cafe was closed midweek in November.
