Hamburger Trail-Sucher

On Saturday, I took the train to Hanover - I've never been here by bike before.
When I changed trains in Buchholz (Nordheide), the train to Hanover only took two bikes (mine wasn't included) - otherwise, they can take at least 16.
So, I had to wait here for an hour...
I didn't start in Hanover until around…

So, I managed to ride there too!
I've wanted to for a while!
Highlights:
Wallring Tunnel and Barmbeker Ring Bridge - both are normally closed to cyclists.
A lot of cyclists gathered here!
It was a great feeling to be there!!
The tour went right past my house - that's where I ended the tour.
I probably went…

On Sunday, we took the train from Hamburg to Eutin.
From there, we set off for the large Eutin Lake. Here, we walked along the lake for a long time – the lake was rarely visible – and trees and bushes rarely formed a gap.
Continuing through numerous forests to Bungsberg – via the Bungsberg Trail, around…

Lots of heathland, trails, forest, and mountains.
It was fun - it had to happen again.
A little fun!
There were a variety of trails:
(I've never made a list before... here's a first attempt...)
- Small, narrow trails
- The Swedish Trail with dismounting and pushing (There are steps of 50-70 cm down here…

On Sunday, I took the train to Lüneburg. I had an hour's layover there and strolled a bit through the old town.
Then I continued on to Hitzacker. There were only three trains going there that day – the first one at 10:57 a.m.
So, I started late in Hitzacker at 12:39 p.m.
I was curious about the skate park…

Had a lovely ride on Saturday.
Several highlights combined, like the Jungfernstieg in Hoisbüttel and the Furtstieg.
I've been wanting to revisit these two highlights for a while.
Had a lovely long ride along the Glinde/Trittau cycle path - it was pleasantly cool there!
Had delicious ice cream at Eisliebe…

On Sunday, I spontaneously took the train to Soltau – from there, I did a tour to Buchholz i. d. Nordheide – I had planned to drive all the way to Hamburg, but couldn't make it any further.
Lovely tour through the heath – the heather is blooming right now – everything is a light purple.
But it's sandy…

Short Saturday ride.
Everything was dull out there... the mountains, the climbs, the valleys were missing...
Three weeks in Norway have left their mark...
Two days after the tour (Monday), things are looking different - it was a nice tour after all!
I did have a small mountain along the way - there are those…

Soooo now - the last tour of my trip!
Started from the campsite to the nearest train station - I didn't want to try the bus again after yesterday's failure.
On the way, the crossing over the Fehmarnsund Bridge was a bit of an adventure. A strong crosswind pushed me towards the guardrail - but everything…

On Sunday, we took the train to Kiel – from there, we went to Neumünster.
Along the way, there were again many trails with lots of forest – we walked along the beautiful Eidertal hiking trail for a long time.
The Kirchstieg (also called Kirchenstieg) was fun – here, we first took a small trail through…
