    On February 13th, 2020, Germany's first plastic bridge was installed on the Solingen corkscrew route at Gartenstrasse. It consists of fiberglass-reinforced plastic and cost 75,000 euros. So far, there are such bridges in the Netherlands, for example. The building material has not yet been approved in Germany, but this should change soon as a result of this pilot project.
