The Dean Strohmeyer Chapel is a memorial chapel built in memory of Dean Willibald Strohmeyer (1877-1945).It is located at the Heubronner Eck, a mountain ridge between the 1143 meter high Weiherkopf and the 1116 meter high Stuhlskopf on the west flank of the Belchen. On April 22, 1945, Willibald Strohmeyer, pastor in St. Trudpert in the Münstertal, was murdered by wandering Nazi henchmen in the last days of the National Socialist regime and discovered on May 6, 1945 by a group of men led by the last tenant of the Rammersbacher Hof. Today, the Dean Strohmeyer chapel stands at the site where it was found. The memorial chapel was built from the granite stones of the razed Schlageter monument in Schönau and inaugurated on August 31, 1947 by Archbishop Konrad Gröber.
