The road through the small Münstertal is definitely recommended. A sharp climb through the alpine-looking valley head quickly brings you close to the 1,000 meter mark, which you just miss at the top of the pass at Gasthof Halde. If you like, you can correct this with the remaining climb to the Way of the Cross. The road is in pretty bad condition in the lower part (12/2022), so the descent requires more caution and is not quite as fun as it would be with better asphalt.

The easiest way from Freiburg to the small Wiesental. The asphalt was renewed in the upper area in 2018, apart from a few short incline peaks, the pass can be driven rhythmically and offers great combination options, among other things. for rounds to Sirnitz-> Badenweiler, direction Großes Wiesental or further south towards Tegernau-Kandern.
