The Idea
Between the outskirts of Schlamau and the Schlamau Rummel, a characteristic feature of the Fläming landscape is taken up: the giant glacial boulders that can be found everywhere and are reminiscent of the origins of this landscape. The "Boulder" object is intended to highlight this richness and sharpen the viewer's awareness of the landscape-stone context.A silver "boulder" establishes a tense relationship with the landscape, giving its location a special significance and inviting visitors to come closer. The "boulder" consists of a lattice-welded stainless steel tube, which forms a space with a transparent skin and can be entered through an opening. This allows visitors to experience the stone from within. Touching, climbing, and taking possession of it is expressly encouraged.Material: Rust-proof, welded stainless steel pipe, approximately 4 x 3 x 2 m in sizeSource: kunst-land-hoher-flaeming.de/int.-kunstwanderweg/kunstwerke/wettbewerb-an-der-nordroute.html
