The Slavic place name Glien occurs several times in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and means a place where there is clay. East-northeast of Wiesenburg and south of Hagelberg, the former Groß-Glien and Klein-Glien are first documented in 1388: czum Großer Glyn and czum lutkin Glyn. It is not clear which of the two Glyns was the original Slavic settlement. For Groß-Glien, the construction of a sheep farm (1592 a sheep farm) is recorded for 1554/1574 and then an outwork that was removed in 1931. Since Groß-Glien no longer exists since that time, the distinguishing suffix Klein is superfluous for Klein-Glien, which still exists today, but is usually still added to the name.
For Klein-Glien, the sources in 1542 record an outwork, which was later supplemented with other buildings. In 1595 there was an entry for Liège Glien and in 1954 Glien was listed as a district of Hagelberg. The dialect form is given by Reinhard E. Fischer as Kleen Jlien.

On our east route of the art trail, there was the most beautiful resting place with a bench and table. here the wind blows from the flower meadow and lies in the shade under a tree.
You should also take a closer look at the door handle. A professional was at work here ;) One of the most beautiful works of art on the east route.
