Hiking

Karl Louis Martzsch (1830-1897), former landowner from Treben, gave the park its name. He himself was never married, so he spent his inherited and earned money for good causes. It was probably his friendly relationship with the then mayor Heinrich Lenze that prompted him to provide the city of Lützen with a foundation.
