Hiking

Open slate (as of 05.2018), which can be safely walked on. Flashlight required. The over 100-year-old tunnel leads about 20 m into the rock and testifies to the slate mining in Wispertaunus, which came to a standstill as slate could be imported cheaper from the Mediterranean.
There are other tunnels towards Sauerborn, but they have been barred to protect the bats.
