The sculpture "Welcome" by Nabil Basbous has been standing since 1998, right at the beginning of the Lamspringe. It consists of three sand-lime brick parts, is about three meters high and weighs about 4.5 tons, made of Thüster sand-lime brick. The two lower parts embody the two communities of Bad Gandersheim and Lamspringe, which are connected by the common head. At the same time, "Welcome" (symbolically, of course) was placed at the beginning of the path on the Lamspringer side.
