The aluminum sculpture “Memorial of German Unity”, which was designed by artist Arnold Schatz and erected in 1967, stands on the north-eastern flak tower. Her Berlin nickname is Plumpenpickel. Plumpe is the popular name for the well of health.

I can't say exactly what it's supposed to represent. However, it is beautiful!

The aluminum sculpture "Memorial to the Unity of Germany" by the artist Arnold Schatz has stood on the observation platform of the 85 m high Humboldthöhe since 1967 as a memorial to German reunification. The 11 m high sculpture stands on a walled concrete base and consists of two stele-like metal parts. They are surrounded and held together by a ring. This was intended to symbolize the division of Germany and at the same time to continue to live the hope that the division would one day be overcome.

On October 2nd, 1991, the mayor of the then Berlin-Wedding district, Jörg-Otto Spiller, unveiled a bronze memorial plaque on the concrete base of the memorial. It bears the inscription: "Memorial to the Unity of Germany, 13.8.67 Arnold Schatz". The sculpture itself was a gift from the artist to the Governing Mayor of Berlin.
