With a memorial stone at the swan pond, the city of Zwickau erected a permanent monument to its first mayor. The Lothar-Streit memorial, consecrated on May 25, 1901, consists of a granite cube resting on a step base with a medallion of Streit created by the Leipzig sculptor Prof. Seffner.
