Since 2004, the completely redesigned museum has been presenting the multifaceted history of Zwickau's automobiles, right on the spot where the Audi company was founded. This ranges from August Horch, founded in 1904 with brands such as Horch and Audi, to Auto Union and the Trabant and today VW. Visitors will not only find unique cars here such as the Audi Alpensieger, the DKW F 1 or Trabant prototypes. The presentations in particular put the automobiles in a special light: the vehicles are arranged at a historically recreated gas station or in front of a hotel. You can also discover a street with a corner shop and a toy shop. The office building provides insights into production in great-grandfather's time. Fully functional machines with transmission drive bring a bygone era of production to life. horch-museum.de
