The open-air stage is a cultural monument.
Similar to an amphitheater, it is constructed as an oval arena with gradually increasing rows of seats.
The open-air theater built between October 1955 and August 1957 in the south-west corner of the Schwanenteich Park is considered the most beautiful complex of that time in Zwickau. The open-air stage was inaugurated on August 23, 1957.
Depending on the type of event, it offers a charming open-air atmosphere for up to 3,500 people in the seating area or 6,500 people in the standing area.
