The state-owned company (VEB) Robur-Werke Zittau was a commercial vehicle manufacturer of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) in Zittau. The Robur works and the VEB Mechanic Weberei Zittau, the largest weaving mill in the GDR, made the city a particularly important industrial location until the fall of the Wall. The VEB Robur-Werke Zittau was the successor of the 1946 expropriated phenomenon works Gustav Hiller AG and traded initially until 1957 as VEB Kfzwerk phenomenon Zittau.
