A simple, beautiful village church made of uncut fieldstones, surrounded by a time-honored perimeter wall and historic gravestones... (Quote from Pastor Wolfgang Martin Gerhardt in 2015)
The church probably dates back to the 13th century. The woodwork in the church is worth taking a closer look at. It dates back to the Reformation period and was restored to its original color at the end of the 1950s.
When we passed by here on our Lahn hiking trail, the church was also locked. But there was a large farmyard flea market opposite and one of the people there quickly organized the key and the sexton's granddaughter allowed us a look inside the church.
