The walkways are in very good condition and lead through a beautiful landscape on the edge of the C zone. The Croix Mockel is close by, set amongst ferns and at the end of a short stretch of nature trail. Amidst the ferns, it's hard to find in summer. The stone cross was erected for Jacob Mockel, who was a forester living in the area and who, where the stone cross is located, was murdered in 1626. The barely legible inscription is in German and reads: JACOB MOCKEL FOERSTER ALHEER JAMERLICH MORDET 1626
