Danmarks Port, the newest gate of the city walls, dates from 1924 and was also designed in the Neoclassical style by architect Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen.

Besides the fact that Nørre Port and Danmarks Port are based on the same architectural style and were designed by the same architect, there are also clear visual parallels in the round shape of the arch and the two smaller, separate arches for pedestrians that symmetrically flank the main passageway.

However, Nørre Port is an enclosed gate, while Danmarks Port has no "roof" and instead consists of freestanding walls with columned arches.
