⚓ Unterwegs im Norden 🚲🥾
-> allein 🙋🏼♀️, mit Sohnemann 👩👦, Freund 👫, Familie ❤️ oder Bekannten 👋
Who would have thought that such a beautiful area is now right on your doorstep 🥰
This little hike on the first child-free weekend of the year was Martin's idea and in fact the path below the cliffs was incredibly impressive. But beware! The cliffs can break off at any time and nobody wants to be buried under heavy, wet clay. The northern section also appears to be closed in summer. Probably to provide a retreat for birds.
On the way above the cliffs it went up and down steadily. The path was sometimes quite muddy and by the end the sun had already disappeared. So we went back home quickly 😌

Seldom have I found the selection of the right photos for a tour as difficult as this time. How many wonderful impressions we got. It went up stairs again, down stairs. Through caves and narrow passages. On the Kleiner Bärenstein, the beautiful views outbid each other! 😍 But we sputtered, because we had an appointment with Kirstin and Roman at Königstein Fortress 🙌 Together we explored the fortress, enjoyed the beautiful views (with comparatively few other visitors) and walked along the old patrol path at its foot. After the impressive fortress, our ways parted again. Martin and I headed for the Großer Bärenstein on the way back 🐻 The sun was already approaching the horizon and bathing the landscape in bright colors. On the rocky plateau we made the acquaintance of an apparently already famous runaway sheep 🐑 and I parted with two apples and a bread roll 🙈

They often say yes; the route is the goal. It was different for us today. The goal was the Königstein Fortress, because there we had an appointment with Kathleen. Since we had plenty of time, we chose the route with "detours". First it went towards Bielatal and then back and forth up the mountain to the fortress. And so we hardly met any other hikers. It was only shortly before the gates of the fortress that there were more. However, one cannot speak of crowds. It was pleasantly "empty" and we could take a leisurely stroll along the fortress wall.

Reasonably fit after our hike the day before yesterday, we drove to Meissen today. We started our tour on the northern side of the Elbe 🏞️ There the first highlight was the pretty Proschwitz Castle. From a hill on the Elbe slope we enjoyed the wonderful view of the old town of Meißen with the Albrechtsburg 🏰 This is exactly where we wanted to go today. After a delicious lunch in the courtyard, we decided after some thought to go to the castle and we didn't regret it! I can hardly describe what wonderful rooms awaited us in the castle. You have to see the castle from the inside 😉
Then we walked through the pretty old town, ate a little cake and made our way back.
It was a nice round! 🥰

Vacation for two. Without children 🤪 to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains 🥳
And right at the beginning there was this beautiful, varied tour. Where we were still freezing at the parking lot, the entrance at Uttewalder Grund made us sweat right away 😅 Down the stairs, up the stairs, through the forest and spontaneously taken a worthwhile vantage point with us in between 😍 Then through the Schwedenlöcher, a narrow gorge, overgrown with moss with tunnels and Rivulets. Splendid! Behind Rathewalde it was unfortunately a bit along the road, later on roads without a footpath. It was exhausting and not without danger. Pity! Relaxed forest paths lead to the Amselsee, which is quietly nestled in a valley. The rainbow trout from the lake can be eaten a little further along the way. However, we took the way up to the bastion beforehand. An armada of stairs and more and more people on the way followed. We almost ran over the bastion. Much too full, so get out of there quickly! 🙈

We haven't been hiking for far too long. That is why the beautiful weather ☀️ (finally no rain!) Led us towards Plön today. Originally we wanted to hike another five kilometers. Since the train was almost an hour late (people on the platform 🤦🏼♀️) we shortened it to 20km. Enough to get back in! 😅
It was basically pretty along the water most of the time. After about 10km we took a break for lunch in Malente, which was a first-class strengthening 💪North of the lakes we walked past cattle pastures 🐮 and paddocks 🐴. Martin made the acquaintance of lots of steakies again (🐮> 🥩) 🤷🏼♀️ Again and again there were beautiful views of water and meadows. A very scenic route and highly recommended 😊
