A venerable brick building stands at Alexandrinenplatz 1. Since the late 1990s, it has been home to the Center for Recreation, Education, and Leisure for Youth, or Zebef e.V. for short. Today, Zebef is a multi-generational center offering young and old alternatives for meaningful leisure activities. It was built in 1843 for the newly founded Rector's School and housed the Goethe-Gymnasium until the end of 1996/98.
