A beautifully developed ascending pedunculate oak with a high branch-free trunk is located to the left of the entrance to the Koolputhoeve yard. Welcome trees are usually planted in pairs, probably his other half has long disappeared. Planting welcome trees is a very old custom where it was believed that the purifying effect of the trees protected the residents on the property from evil influences.
