"Duality"

The fairy tale of Goldmarie and Pechmarie is presented in this work in a mathematical-geometric way. The metal installation rests on four basalt steles that come from Meissen, which is considered the kingdom of Frau Holle. Ms. Holle is understood here as the basic principle of all existence, as a circle or spherical space that can be microcosm and macrocosm at the same time. Black and gold stand, on the one hand, for duality as a primal principle, in which two different basic states depend on each other, and on the other hand, for the human construct of dualism, which splits what actually belongs together into two unrelated axioms. As the principle of this union, Ms. Holle embodies ideas of renewal, rebirth, seasons, life cycles.
