One of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, cemetery in Bonn. Was laid out in 1804 next to an existing Jewish cemetery.

The Burgfriedhof was laid out in 1804/05 on the site of the former Godesburg outer bailey below the Michaelskapelle next to a Jewish cemetery that had existed since the early 18th century. In 1895 the municipality of Godesberg acquired the castle hill. The cemetery was expanded several times in terraces down the slope, for the last time in 1910. In 1924, the city's new central cemetery was built in the district of Plittersdorf to relieve it.
